Working longer hours may keep the boss smiling, but it takes a toll on your output, social life and in some cases your health. In this set of articles we look at some of the reasons you might be working longer hours and some easy tools and techniques you can learn to help you stretch time.

How productive are you when working long hours?
Recent studies have suggested that people working longer hours are less productive. After eight hours of work you will naturally become tired and disengaged. Your work-life balance will start to suffer as your mind wanders.

So much to do – so little time…
So, what can you do to still work your normal hours – but get even more done? You’ve got a few choices:

  • Find a new job – which could be just as bad or worse!
  • Stop working so hard – which means you probably won’t have the job at the end of it!
  • Look for some solutions to ’stretch’ your time and maybe even save you a bit!
