How it works

The CV House individual CV writing service is designed for very senior employees who are seeking opportunities, typically at Senior Manager or Director level. Proven high achievers may not have the time or the insight into the recruitment market to put together a CV at all - we will take the lead and collect the information we need to demonstrate each individual's track record to best effect.

CV House clients are typically senior executives and C level directors looking for their next full time corporate position or sometimes executives seeking non-executive director opportunities.

We conduct detailed telephone based or face to face discussions with individuals to ensure that we have all relevant information, including career history, achievements, future aspirations and current circumstances. The service is highly personal and we will spend as long as necessary with each individual to produce a CV that will be as effective as possible.

Our CVs are laid out in a range of contemporary styles designed to present content in the best format and order, emphasising information and data in a clear and appropriate manner. We evaluate candidate skills and achievements, presenting them in the best possible light to future employers or other interested parties. Our process ensures that all relevant information is considered for inclusion in the CV, and that it is presented in a way that gives applications immediate impact.

The process

We would normally expect to have an initial discussion with a potential client about their situation and perceived requirements. Most clients will have some sort of CV already - the discussion about what work is required and the fee quoted will often be informed by materials the client already has.  We normally provide some no obligation feedback about how the process will work and what we would be doing that would substantially improve upon the existing CV. Occasionally we see a CV that is, in our opinion perfectly good and only needs minor tweaks. Our no obligation feedback would tell the client that and how to fix it. We are proud of the integrity of our service. With our executive service, future minor updates (for example to add a candidate's most recent job gained a year or so after we wrote their new CV) are included in the price.

Pricing

Prices are quoted for our executive CV writing service following a personal consultation or review of the scope of the work required. There is a narrow range of pricing which changes purely based on the amount of work we believe will be required. The fee to work one-on-one with one of our specialist executive CV writers is typically in the range £850 to £1000 plus VAT.
