Time is valuable - use it wisely

Time Stretchers

Working longer hours may keep the boss smiling, but it takes a toll on your output, social life and in some cases your health. In this set of articles we look at some of the reasons you might be working longer hours and some easy tools and techniques you can learn to help you stretch time.

So what's taking up so much of your time?

First of all you need to take a look at your day and decide what it is that's taking up so much time. We asked our customers and they said it's "because people are completely overloaded". Too much to read...

How Productive Are You When Working Long Hours?

Recent studies have suggested that people working longer hours are less productive. After eight hours of work you will naturally become tired and disengaged. Your work-life balance will start to suffer as your mind wanders. So much to do - so little time...

So, what can you do to still work your normal hours - but get even more done? You've got a few choices:

  • Find a new job - which could be just as bad or worse!
  • Stop working so hard - which means you probably won't have the job at the end of it!
  • Look for some solutions to 'stretch' your time and maybe even save you a bit!

Tame, yet wild, I run elusive.

Multitasking to your aid.

Before I came, the world was dark.

Colder, with flickering light, to mock.

But though I make life easier,

I might give you a nasty shock.
