Having recognised that managing from home is a new experience for many people, we have devised a range of courses specifically focused on helping people in this situation to be more effective.

Module 1 – Understanding and rising to the challenge of managing change remotely

  • Defining the challenges faced by managers and leaders when managing change that impacts remote teams.
  • What kind of workforce are you managing? Do you know the difference and how this impacts reaction to and management of change?
  • How remote team members and teams feel about change compared with site-based employees.
  • Mapping the impact of change (on remote teams) to the change process.
  • How you as a remote manager can lead and support your team through these stages of change.
  • Your contribution to an outcome-focused team mind-set.
  • The key factors and motivation and engagement during times of change.
  • Review of key learning points, top tips and personal action plan.

Module 2 – The profile of an effective ‘Remote Change Manager’

  • What actions and priorities do effective remote change managers focus on?
  • What are the key qualities and responsibilities of remote change managers?
  • The importance of maintaining trust and team identity.
  • The β€˜what’ and β€˜how’ of adapting management, leadership and communication styles when managing remote change.
  • Using the right technology and approaches for team communication during the change process.
  • Remaining vigilant: recognising and managing signs of stress.
  • Review of key learning points, top tips and personal action plan.
